About Central Railway Zone

Central Railway Zone is simply abbreviated as “CR” (मध्य रेलवे). Central Railways is one of the 17 Zones of IR. CR Railways has established on the year 1951 with the track gauge of Standard Indian Broad Gauge. CR Zone has the significance of operating 01st Indian Railways passenger railway line in India which started from the city of Mumbai to Thane in the year 16th Apr of 1853.
