Central buffer coupling (CBC) earlier screw coupling Used:
Central buffer coupling (CBC) bogies are the new type compartments that recently brought up by Indian Railways. Unfortunately, these bogies(coaches) have been designed to bring down losses that occur if any accidents occur.
Some of the CBC coaches assigned to the Waltair division (Vishakhapatnam Division) are being shifted to the other divisions of the East Coast Railway.
Thus, the Waltair division has not yet been retained. The Railways have been operating a central buffer coupling coach for all the trains running from Vizag to Rayagada, Gunnupur, Durg, Digha and other areas which earlier using old screw coupling. Now all these CBC Coaches as being replaced with this CBC coaches all of the sudden. For Vishakhapatnam to Rayagada Passenger, there is no need to remove the new CBC coaches and replace the old screw coaches in their place.
Regarding this, Each officer has been answering indifferent. While some claim that the coaches were moved to Puri, some of them answering that it was running along with Gandhidham Express and several other trains. Few answering that the Lack of CBC bogies is the reason.
Now, this Rayagada Passenger is running with the old screw coupling coaches . There is widespread criticism for ignoring the CBC bogies at Waltair division which are used to prevent the threats of railways.
